This website is under going construction. As a front-end web developer, I like to play around with different design's on a daily basis. Check back often to see my latest design. I will also be building a history page so that you can browse all the previous designs that I have played with. If you like a particular design, send me a note and let me know about it.
Traditionaly, the home page has been used to welcome the user and it's located at the root of the website. It's the first page you visit when you
go to a website's domain name like natelegakis.com. If that's what you were expecting, you are in the wrong place. I put my contact page there for a good reason. Anyhow, I'm redefing the
Home link for my website to mean something completely different. My home is everything to me. It's where I work, play, eat, sleep, etc. I try to make good use of the real estate
that I own. I was fortunate enough to be trusted to work from home last summer by one of my employers. It was an awesome experience for me. I highly encourage other companies to
give it a try.
I love to work from home because of the freedom is provides me. Sometimes, I have a burst of creative energy or an idea that I want to run with and my body is telling me that if feels like working hard now. I can take advantage of this feeling and get some good work done right then and there. Other times, by body is telling me that it's time for something else like a snack, yoga, or other personal matters like simply brushing my teeth. When you work from home, you can do this without bothering your co-wokers. You also don't have to be bothered or distracted by whatever they might be doing that makes you feel uncomfortable. I'm all for learning to respect differences that others might have, but I'm also for getting the most work done for my employer. And, I know this means working from home for me. It doesn't work for everyone, and you have to have co-workers that want to make the effort to work together with you.
That is key. I have worked with some people that love to connect remotely and talk as much as possible. And, I've worked with others who
only have a few minutes a day or even a week to talk to you. I am one of those people that loves to communicate via text, email, github, and source control software often. I love to see
the commits that other developers make and learn from them. I also love to share my knowledge with my fellow developers so that we can both come up with the best solutions possible in the
shortest amount of time. When this kind of constant communication happens, some awesome development gets done and everyone benefits. That's what Donald Trump would want from me if I was
working for him and that's what I expect from my co-workers. Be an American and work hard together for the big man. Stop wasting time reading this right now and get back to work.
